You might come to us if your doctor thinks you need an X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound or a nuclear medicine examination.
You can find out more about the type of scan you might have in radiology using the links. More information about radiology services can be found in the patient information library.
Walk-in service
All X- ray requests are made electronically online by your GP and these are immediately visible in our Radiology System. You do not need to bring anything with you, whether you are a walk –in patient, or have been given an appointment.
In order to support social distancing our walk-in service for GP patients is only available for those patients requiring a Chest X-ray.
Patients can attend any site, Monday – Friday only, during the following times:
Lister Hospital
8:30 – 4:00pm
New QEII Hospital

Hertford County Hospital

Patients requiring any X- Rays except Chest X- rays will be contacted by Radiology to arrange an appointment.
