We are pleased to share exciting news from our Lister Diamond Jubilee maternity Unit at Lister Hospital.
As part of our commitment to being a more sustainable Trust and listening to feedback from our women and service users, we are pleased to announce our new online maternity hub aimed at digitalising maternity records – called My Pregnancy Notes – will be launching soon.
The website will create a Maternity Electronic Patient Record (EPR) from the moment a woman presents for maternity care through pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. It creates an electronic record which will enable end-to-end conversations and updates between our clinicians and our service users, enabling parents to access information in real-time.
This could include information about a person’s medical, pregnancy and obstetric history as well as any current risk factors and 24/7 access to important pregnancy information and resources.
The EPR website will also give service users access to information in their record and allow them to be involved in the decision-making process through a personalised care plan.
It is fully interactive and provides the opportunity to ask questions, create a birth plan and receive appointment reminders.
“We are really excited about the implementation of our new EPR. The ‘My Pregnancy Notes’ website will make a huge difference.
“We’ve worked closely with our Lister Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership to ensure the feedback from our women and service users is listened to, creating positive, long-lasting change.
“The website means we can involve our women and service users in every aspect of their care, from the very start of their pregnancy journey – reassuring them with full access to notes, collaborative care planning and extensive remote monitoring. “We are really excited to introduce ‘My Pregnancy Notes’ later this year.”
Amanda Rowley, Director of Midwifery at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust
